FOR JIGGING I use a 5'6 ugly stick 4-8 lb and
a 5'0 shakespear 2-6 lb

7'6" diawa sinmatic ul, can't remember the reel, that would mean I would have to get off my rear end and go look:passout:thats for the down riggers, I don't do alot of jigging so I just grab one of the many trout spinning rods I got! I would like a nice one though!

Jigging/bait fishing? Searched high and low for many years. I liked a Fenwick 6'6" Hooksetter 4-6 pound line rated rod (forget the 2-4 pounder it's too soft for positive hooksets) for years until I found a 6' IM7 that rocks. Super sensative tip, very fast action, and deadly. The guy that made it is out of business:( so I can't get another. He built it as an ultra light finess bass rod.

For trolling ... Ordella's kokanee rod is pretty hard to beat, but they folded about 2 months ago .. another bummer :( . A couple of custom 8'ers on 4wt flyrod blanks, a Vances Tackle 7'6" (you have to ask him for it -- his website still just shows the 7' and 8') round out what's on my boat.

If you want a fair trolling rod for the money, I like a 6' Okuma ultra light trout rod from Sportsman's for $16. It's mushy and would make a horrible rod for anything else, but fits the bill pretty well for a cheap kokanee trolling rod.

For Jigging I like an 6' Ugly Stick and an Okuma Epixor 20. Since I don't jig that much I am easy to please.

For trolling I still think I like my 7' Diawa Spinmatic best. My reel is a BassPro Qualifier that has a sweet drag. I think it is a
Pflueger Trion Machined Casting Reel in a different skin.

Christy's is the Yellow Lami Kokanee "Noodle"

John's is either the Diawa Spinmatic or Shasta Tackle Glass rod.

Still TOO EARLY to fish for kokes but not to talk about um....

Did I mention that we're fishing FLAMING GORGE in June?:meme:

Nanner, nanner, nanner!
