Got Fish?

Now that the springers are closed I need to find something else to troll for. Any reports coming from the lake yet? I have a bunch of new lures and rigging ideas I really want to try out but I've never gone this early.

We went to Merwin a couple weeks ago and caught 4 little 10" koke's.
Tried again this last Sunday and got skunked.
Seen a few on the sounder but couldn't get one on. Tried deep for the ones on sounder and flatline for anything shallow.
Surface temp was 39.5......maybe just to cold yet.

Too early and they're too skinny. Go chase a steelhead somewhere till the CR opens again.

Snow is all up above Yale with alot of snow up at swift.
Swift looks just like a creek on the upper end and Yale water level
is way down also.
Merwin looked to be down 5 to 6 ft.
Seen several herd of elk just getting to merwin

Thanks for the Lewis reservoir pool levels address.
I have looked for one before and could not find it.
I actually like fishing Yale over Merwin but its too low
and the gate is closed off.

I heard that they lowered Swift and Yale more this year to compensate for the higher snowpack. As far as I know all the ramps on those two are closed. It's still early, but those warm days sure do get you thinking about it.

Fished it today and managed a few kokes, not much in the way of size but sure was nice to get some fish in the boat. I think I'll wait a few weeks before going again.
