I have a beat up old wooden drift boat i've sanded down and just want to make it sea worthy. Anyone have idea's on how to seal above the chines and what kind of finish to purchase for inside and out without spending a bunch of money. Any idea's are welcome.
Thank you

Well, we normally would like a fish story before we give out info, but in this case I will try to help you. On the inside of your boat you can use an oil stain and on the outside of the boat I have used enamel paint a good grade. I would get some good fiberglass and glass the bottom of your boat so that it will be a bit stronger and so it will slide over the rocks in the tailouts.
I too am refinishing a wood drifter. This is what I am going to do to mine. I have done it before and it worked out great.
I hope this helps a bit.
Now lets hear a fish story!:D
