FEAR NO FISH!

Went last night, with one of the
original members of Ifish. He doesn't
post anymore but still reads. Thru
wind and rain we trolled. He caught
his first steelhead last night. A real
beauty, 15 pounds. We had 5 on and
landed 2. The other was a mint 8
pounder. I had one rip on a wind blown
turn that I thought had come unpinned.
I put the rod back into the rod holder
to do some manuvering. Guess what, the
fish was still on. It had crossed
behind the boat at about 300 miles an
hour, whipped the rod back and slammed
it into the motor cowling. Last I saw
of the fish he was headed for parts
unknown. Good bye $10.00 vortex! I had
one of the dam security try to tell me
that a no wake zone buoy was the
restricted access area. I proceeded to
give him a little lesson in restricted
area geography. Thet must hire these
guys from the mission as they do not
have a clue of what the perimeter
actually is. Saw quite a few fish
caught at daybreak. One of my buddies
who guides caught a nice 25 pound
chinook. images/icons/grin.gif
