New paint or coat it which first

We are redoing our driftboat and not sure if we should do the bottom or the paint first, any ideas or thoughts.

Bottom first. You'll scratch the new paint rolling it over to do the bottom, otherwise.

The whole thing us upside down now so that should not matter

I'd still do the bottom first, then flip it and paint, knowing I won't have to worry about scratching the sides.:twocents:

when youre done, drive to the lake and flip it over

We have it a warehouse and have moving pads to flip it over onto so it will be padded.
