Any one ever built their own wooden drift boat? I have found serval plans on the 'net for a 2 man drift boat made from ply wood. Was curious if anyone had built one themselfs and how hard was it? How was the performance on the river?

Thanks

I built my 14 footer, it is the headwater 14' model from Tracey Obrien, google him.
It's the only DB I've ever rowed so no frame of reference, but it seems good to me. Have been able to go anywhere I wanted to with no problems.
Took me about 6 months, while in school so I had alot of time to work on it.
Wish it were bigger, width and length, but beyond that I love my boat. Get's alot of compliments.
