im thinking about taking up flyfishing I have done it a couple times...If anyone could give me some advice on a good starting rod that would be great

Best advice I can give, is to visit your local fly shop. Tell them what you want to do, and how much you want to spend. They should let you cast any rod that you are interested in, along with provide guidance in what to look for and to feel for. Buying a rod without casting it, is like.........................(fill in the blank).

For sure...do as has been suggested and visit a good local fly shop. There may be a fly fishing club in your area. If so, think about joining or attending some meetings. You'll find yourself surrounded by people who can help you. You'll never look back
