My life changed the moment I casted my fly rod and since then responsibilities have become less and less important. I cannot always live and travel the way the rich do, nor fish like a true trout bum but I can always live vicariously though the scury <inappropriate language removed> of the AEG. Crump, Owens, Gill and the rest of the crew just got back from Mongolia and have started to put together yet another Trout Bum video. They even got to break out the two handers on some Taimen.

For you guys that like the Trout Bum Diaries videos, the boys are going to be back in town showing some of some new stuff. They have two Bend shows at the Tower Theater on Feb 11th and 13th and then in Portland on Feb 20th at the Hollywood Theater on Sandy Blvd.

Come and support your brothers in arms and help them live our dream. Fishing around the world for a living..............................<inappropriate>!
Make sure to ask Chris Owens about his little incident with some chapstick. Or do I mean lipgloss :D!

In regards to $$$, they are far from rich. They are some lucky dogs though. Make sure to say hello if you see me there.

It’s a shame they flubbed on the :passout:venue:passout: this year. Last year was a blast, pizza, beer and fish ****.:meme:

Saw them here in AK and was a good show. They teamed up w/ the Sierra Club so they could have two shows in Anchorage. The two films on Bristol Bay are great too.

WOW!!!!! That's all I have to say about that. Easily without a doubt the best assemblage of fish **** I have ever seen. The production quality and score were leaps above any other fishing production I have ever seen. What a show!! Best 15 bucks I've spent in along time.

This was far better than last year and it was nice to be able to see the whole thing rather than the film breaking like it did at the Bagdad. It was nice to see some local representation, beacuse let's face it, we're the best fishermen in the world out here in Oregon! The steelhead and salmon fishing was awesome.

Anyone want to book a trip to Mongolia with me? :excited:

Mongolia would be SICK!! I think I'd opt for the uni-mog vs. those glorified VW vans though...LOL!

Since they're making bucks off the resource, I thought it was good practice to include the two clips about the Pebble Mine and its threat to Bristol Bay. It's hard to believe a project of that scale in that location is even being considered.

What did ya'll think of those Slovenia Marble Trout?

I agree. That proposed mine is a monster, sure hope it doesn't materalize. I saw Ty's post on it but that film sure drove his point home. Those were some beautiful trout!!!

Personally, overall I liked it better than last year because of the addition of more content dealing with serious environmental issues.

From a purely entertainment standpoint, I liked last years better (I also liked the artistic quality last year better).

I think my favorite part was when my wife leaned over to me (this was after she said how cool some of the films were) and was making fun of all the "flyfishing nerds" for laughing at the jokes that only a flyfisherperson would get...

that fish jumping out of the water to take a fly dangling 6 inches off the surface was just sick....and, those Taimen are absolutely incredible!!!!

I couldn't agree more. I opted to pull the "boys only" card for this show but I think I'll take the wife next year so I can stop explaining why I fish. She still doesn't get it.:D

Awesome turnout guys. Thanks for showing up and supporting the guys and fight against the Pebble Mine.

I really want to try fishing for those Marble Trout. With friends stationed in Germany who are kayak, they have been tempting me with pictures of fish holding in cal clear pools and views of whitewater. Maybe when then little one gets bigger I guess.

It was good to see some of the "old guard" like Kaufmann's Stetzer, manning the table in the lobby.

Not so good was the guy tossing the hats threw worse than a limp-wristed girl. They all went to the same place in the audience, like he was tossing them to his boy friend!!!

I think I yelled something to that effect with that last pathetic throw of his...

They're coming to Bozeman on Monday. From what it sounds like, it is worth the low cost of the ticket!

Saw this show in Bozeman last year and was a good turnout, with all the college kids and flyfishing bums there!
