I've recently decided to start building my own rods and would be interested in hearing what products the builders on this forum really like. Examples might be favorite epoxy, best mixing method, rod dryer, rod wrapper, reamers, other?
Look forward to the discussion.

Hands down best tool I acquired is my Pac Bay Power Wrapper and the improved chuck..
Next up is my lighted magnifying lamp on a swing arm
Finish - that is a personal preference thing. I didn't like Threadmasters at all. Flexcoat was OK, but I really like One Coat. Its an older style finish like Flex Coat, but it is much more forgiving than flexcoat, takes heat really well and levels really nice and has that sweet wet like water look. It does have a short pot life, but I have learned how to work that to my advantage.
Reamers I made my own from scrap blanks
Mix using small katchup cups got a million of them once for jello shooters - found something better to do with them.
I like brushes better than spatulas

Hook Jaw,
I live in Beaverton as well and build a couple of hundred rods a year. If you are interested in coming by to see what I use or just coming by to BS send me an e-mail at eharry3@comcast.net.
