Check the buoy report, last time I checked 14 foot swells. Small craft advisories are up along the entire coast, plan on fishing inside. Yes, would like to see a report from today too, wonder what I missed.

From the fish I saw and reports I got from customers today, one should be in the upper bay close to the mouths of the Wilson and Trask Rivers.
Use sand shrimp/eggs set up.
Also use red and white willow spinners, we got-um. 3.00 each while they last.
Thanks for asking,
Marie @TBC www.tillamookbait.com (http://www.tillamookbait.com)

I crabbed today, Sat, but did fish Fri AM in lower tidewater. There were some fish around and many boats had a fish or two. Will be going back down Mon Am and fishing all week with these good tides coming up.

Fishbait how was the crabbing? Im thinking of going fishing this week but may take a chance with a crab pot or two as well.
I hear some folks got outside on Saturday ... at least 50 kings landed behind the south jetty and more coming in from in the jaws and at the Ghost. So now I'm ready for some first hand reports! The forecast was for big seas ... was the report overstated?

Mr. KP,
I crabbed Netarts, prefer it over T Bay this time of year. Crabbing pretty good, took us about 3 hours to get 28 or so. I must say, I have never in all my years seen so many people on the Bay. I know it was Sat, but it was unreal. A few soft shells went back, most were OK, about 8 had barnicles on them, lots of nice big crab. Ate three for dinner and will ahve a few for lunch.....

I fished Sat. from first light to 3:30. We got a 35 lb fish between the Coast Guard and the Ghost hole about an hour before high tide. We got a 20 lb fish along the corner beside the N. Jetty on the outgoing tide. Seaweed was pretty bad. The bar was very rough; seas breaking clear across the bar. The two of us felt lucky to get these fish. Not many nets flying.

Just got back from the Oyster House. Real slow with a small sprinkling of a bite in the afternoon about half way down on the OG. Shouda' been there tommorow thing. Good to see you Marty and meet you Tanner. Fished with a "Sensei" of a fisherman, and if his boat was not nailing them, not many were.
You will be glad the weekend boatramp and
parking deal is over at least.

its red hot if you like to catch salad. I fished it both sat and sun with one coho released and one 30lb nook boated. I saw a total of 5 fish hooked total for two days. I think I am going to regret paying for a months rv space rent up there. we fished from inside the jettys all the way up to the picket fence including the coast guard hole, the sheeps corral and all points in between. Saw lots of happy anglers on the water though I wonder if they have actually ever seen "good" fishing. Oh well maybe it will turn on. more likely what will happen is we will get a good rain or two and the fish will just blow right thru and not bite.

Fished Tillimook yesterday around the picket fence. There was a pretty good bite in the morning just prior to low slack. The bite lasted for about 45-60 minutes and then nothing for several hours. I saw only a few fish caught at high tide and nothing else after that.

Did the Oyster house, Picket Fence and Corral thing yesterday. Every where we went we saw FISH ON!. Didn't stay long at the Oyster, may be we should have rumor had it that there was a good number of fish caught there an hour into the incoming tide. At the P-Fence there was a bite just at low slack/ start of incoming that lasted about an hour. A few(10-12) caught. Went on out to the Corral and saw a few more caught(12-14). That's where I got mine. A #28 buck. images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif Fished there till almost high tide and headed back to the ramp. On the way back up we saw several more caught. Even the "bankies" got into the act.
On Tuesday the ocean was the place for people willing to take the risk ... guides comfortable with hugging the south jetty did very well until the storm front blew everyone off the water.
On Wednesday, low slack was the ticket in the lower bay. There were 5 or 6 fish over 40 pounds reported at the Outhouse hole (used to be called the Ghost hole) and a couple in the jaws. Things were slow until the last few hours of incoming when back-trolling inside the jaws kicked out a couple dozen hook-ups and a half dozen fish for the 5 boats fishing there. The bar was shut until about 1 pm ... a bunch of boats scurried out, but I saw the rollers breaking out beyond the red can and decided I was there for fun, not adventure and stayed inside. Ended up with 5 take downs, 3 on and one in the boat. Datapoint: I was using Owner hooks.

Sorry ******, I just got home a few hours ago. This time of the year I try to fish Mon - thurs, Fridays are worse than Saturdays. (It has taken me 10 years to get this kind of a schedule and I have quit jobs over fall fishing, also moved my wedding, so don't get jelous of my fishing days folks, I have paid the price) OK here is a report from lower tidewater, it is scratchy, there are fish but not lots and lots of biters. Wens in the upper bay was very good.....I fished 3.5 days and landed 7 fish bobber fishing the outgoing to the low.
