Caught and released an un-clipped summer run yesterday on a First Cast jig and it had it's adipose intact! Since wild summer runs on the Wilson are pretty rare it could have been a hatchery that didn't get clipped or maybe a stray that ended up in the Wilson. Who has an opinion of this?

Stew (ed),

Most likely it was either an un-clipped hatchery fish, or perhaps the offspring of genetically inferior hatchery strain steelhead that have successfully spawned.

There are no truly "native" summers in the Wilson.
