I'm looking for anyone that can tell me the exact interpretation of 'tidewater'.
The regs say;
Stream: The free-flowing portion of all rivers and creeks, including beaver ponds and tide-gated sloughs.
Tidewaters: Stream or estuary waters affected by daily ebb and flow of tides.

Ok....I drew an imaginary line across the mouth of the Trask and Tillamook rivers where they merge to the east of Memaloose boat ramp. For location codes, if I was past that line I thought I was in the river. If I was to the west of the river mouth, I was coded as being in the bay (tidewater portion). True???
Another example: below the O'city falls, the river is affected by the tides but above the falls the river is not affected of course. Is the river below the falls considered tidewater?

Ah ha, I just did some more reading and it looks like I would be in the 'river' for coding but I need to move my imaginary line from the mouth of the Trask and Tmook rivers up to the 101 bridges. Does the
mainstream start above the bridges?
