It's probably RED HOT right now with the recent rain, but it was slow last weekend. I spent 2 days fishing the hospital hole and only saw a few caught out of the 20+ people in the area. Some fish is better than no fish at all!

Marie at Tillamook Bait Company had one customer showing off a bright 36 pounder from Trask tidewater today. There are nice fish all over ... time to call in sick!

Should be good almost anywhere after the rain. My son, a friend and I spent tuesday above the 101 bridge in nehalem ( before the rain). Fished for 5 hours starting at low tide, nothing. The last hour of incoming through high slack (1 1/2 hours) we hooked 7 fish. Got 6 to the boat ( 4 wild silvers and 2 chinooks). Unfortunately one chinook was snagged ( slammed the spinner while trolling but was hung when we got it up to the boat. The other chinook broke off at the net. Needless to say we didn't bring any fish home but had a great time for that 1 1/2. The chinooks were for the most part still bright.

Take a look at the fishing report in Thursday's Oregonian - a fish taken in the Trask tidewater recently tipped the scales at 58 lbs images/icons/shocked.gif The dude that caught it also had three other hogs at the time as well. So, to answer your question, there are a few being caught.
