We had an 18' open sled and a 20' inboard sled. They were both used from the ocean to the high lakes and every where inbetween. They were both rough riding in choppy water. No pics as we no longer have these boats. Have moved up to bigger ocean type boat.

My buddy has a 22' FR. He likes it just fine. Two years ago, I bought a NR Seahawk. I bought it at the factory store in Clackamas cause the Seattle NR dealer wouldnt take my old glass boat as a trade in. Before that I was dealing with the FR dealer in Scappose. The only reason I went for the NR was price. The NR factory store just gave me a better price deal on basically the same type and size boat. The FR looked fine to me, it was just price.

Ran 20ft kenai lites on the Kenai for years. Only problem was the powder coat on the inside of the boat did not hold up and would start to flake off after a season or two. Also had diamond plate floors and the screws would vibrate out all the time and it was a constant battle putting them back in. Other than that, its aluminum not much that can go wrong with it!
Hope this helps.

I have a 23ft river master and love it. It is a very dry boat and the ride is the best I've experinced. My brother Crayfin also has a 21ft river master. We've had good results with both of them

I have fished out of a Fish Rite (20' river boat with 35HP Yamaha) about ten days every year for the last eight or nine years with a buddy on the Kenai, and I love the boat. Handle very well, no problems with leaking (he fishes them every day from late May to end of August every year), very stable boats. I'm looking at getting a 20' Fishmaster myself, for a river boat.

I decided to go new on my first boat, as I didn't want to spend the first year of boating fixing everything that the PO's neglected. So far I have been very pleased with this boat. It is primarily used in the bays for crabbing, but also sees lakes for trolling and tossing bobbers from. I do a fare amount of fabrication on my own, and can really appreciate the quality of the welds and fabrication on this boat.
As stated earlier, the Fish-Rite handles smooth, and is not a wet ride even in some heavy chop.
Not sure if it is the norm, but my 16' came with a 39 gallon underfloor tank that I never fill more than 15-20 gallons at a time. This Yammy just sips fuel on this boat.
Found that this summer we were even able to pull a 2 person ski tube with that 40HP up to 26-30MPH. The placard says the boat is rated for 125HP with remote steering (as I have). That would be a bit excessive in my opinion for a 16'.

I think they are one of the best built boats out there. They are also good lookin.

I have a 20" Rogue open sled with a Yami 150. The boat hauls butt...I can hit 58-60 mph WOT. Lots of room to fish and a very comfortable boat. The best recommendation I could make, would be to make sure that the fuel tank is up front and not in the stern. Makes them stern heavy with a 4 stroke motor on there.

I had a 19' Explorer with a 115 merc 4 stroke and 9.9 4 stroke kicker. Closely check how your boat will float. With all of the weight in the stern like 36 gallons of fuel, the 115, a 4 stroke kicker, and battery I was very heavy back there. With the notched out transom, I had something like 3" of free board before I had the splashwell drain holes in the water.
I think Jamie has redone some of the layouts to prevent this, but just check the balance before you buy.

I have a 1986 16 foot fishrite driftboat. It is bullet proof, and it still going strong. The trailer is showing signs of giving up, but the boat is going strong. I have thought of getting a new boat, but why, mines still going strong. I have no knowledge of how their boats are built now, but 21 years on a driftboat is impressive. Also this boat has been fished hard, and has many battle scars.

Ummm, you pointing at me??? No complaint, just a real world observation. I liked the boat I had and would purchase another if there was one that suited my needs.
