And was it ever!
It was SO funny. I love to hear Bill describe what bites are like, when it gets dull out on the water.
I said to him, during one of these quiet moments,
"So, Bill... What does it feel like when a chinook takes a slack bite?"
WHOA!
JUST THEN, and I'm not kidding, JUST THEN, it bit! It wasn't a slack bite though... This plump mid twenties fish took it and ran!
WHOO HOO!
Thank you to Moleman, for this beautiful fish, caught on one of his spinners. Dang, I have to get more of these out to you guys!
It was red white, and brass. A real beauty.
I was feeling fishy right then too. You know, how when your lure is wobbling just right, the water's lookin good, you know the tide is just beginning to get slack, and...
WHAMMO!
I jumped up and down in that boat till I nearly jumped out!
Bill was using a G spot blade spinner, and soon after did get the slack bite. (So, in the end, I got a play by play description of what it felt like! images/icons/smile.gif )
So....
Here be the fishies.
Here is what I reported on the front page of ifish:
Memaloose is red hot, bringing in fresh fish from the ocean today. All fish we saw caught, perhaps as many as 15, were bright, beautiful, and in the 30 pound range.
Bill and I came home with two fish, one caught on a "Moleman" spinner, one on a G spot blade spinner Bill put together.
Both fish were bright hens.
GOT EGGS?

I sincerely believe my little kitty that died this morning was in heaven, directing those fish to us! Call me silly, but I believe that!
