I've only seen this river and the hatchery once. The water level was low and clear. Does the water flow enough over the wall at the up river side of the hatchery for steelhead to make it over?

Or, does that hatchery do steelhead as well so all the fish hang right there? I was thinking of going up river if it's alowed but if the fish stop at the hatchery, I'm not going to venture out there.

It is all locked up and logging is going on to clean up the blow down.
May be 100 truck loads need to be cleared.
Not many wild fish go up past the falls on the East side of Hy 53

There's fish to be caught above the hatchery. If the gate is closed you can walk or bike the road up river.
