Hi, we are headed to the Klamath area in early July for a week. We wanted to try some hex action on the Williamson, Klamath Lake rainbows, Umpqua bass, Rogue Half Pounders and a few others. Did I leave anything good out? One other thing we weren't sure about was Wizard Island. Can you still fish that and are there still Kokanee there? Thanks.

Early July I would focus on the Hex hatch or try Crater Lake. I haven't fished Crater but I understand it can be good. It is really too early for steelhead on the Rogue. The trout fishing on the Rogue can be decent at that time. Soory, I know nothing about the bass fishing.

The was a thread started in August about Crater Lake:

With a little research on Ifish, you might find more.

I caught my biggest fly caught rainbow out of Klamath in early July fishing the Rocky Point Inlet by the resort, 12.5lbs - there are several underwater springs that put fresh, cool water into the lake right there that attract HUGE fish when the main lake starts to warm up.
