CATCH AND EAT

Thanks Troy for the nice drift trip from Carver to Riverside. Beautiful day and good company.
Troy had a nice look at a fish at the Carver Ramp when he picked up his line and reeled in. Fish followed and broke the water. Unfortunatly it missed Troy's setup or Troy tried the cracker method, anyway no fishy.
Saw lots of fish rolling in front of the bankies below the bridge. Nothing caught while we were there.
Next hookup came when Troy over cast his target and got a real bright tree limb. Not much fight but he would have had to put it back anyway because it was a Native. images/icons/shocked.gif
The I proceeded to do the same thing after chastizing Troy on his casting technique. images/icons/blush.gif
Things got better from there. Troy had a big takedown while boondagglen the canyon. It was a struggle for Troy but he manage to get that 10"er in. images/icons/grin.gif Not much latter than that Troy set the hook again. This time he was not sure of the size of the fish. After a short battle in came a very very small small smolt. All of three inches. images/icons/cool.gif .
No hookups for pops. At least he did not hook any weird stuff this weekend.
The water was real skinny in some of the areas but we never had to walk the boat through. Still a very enjoyable day on the river.
