Hello all. My name is Jasen, I figured I'd post an introduction As I am new to this board. I currently live in Central PA, on Penn's Creek (a great limestone spring creek) I will be relocating to the Beaverton area in about a week, and was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction of some local streams, where I may be able to pitch some flies to some hungry trouts.
Thank you very much in advance for any advise you may have.

Welcome to the left coast....
Trout season is closed, near by, until May... but there's some places (lakes ponds & a trip south or easterly) that will show you some trout.

Jasen:
Welcome to Ifish and Oregon. I think that most of us are "transplanted" Oregonians. The only original ones might be of Native American descent, but they were most likely transplants at one time also. I would recommend that you find and purchase "Fishing in Oregon" by Madelynne Diness Sheehan. I think that it is currently on it's tenth printing and can be purchased at most major retailers that have a sporting goods section. It will direct you to great fishing locations all over Oregon. I don't think you could fish every one of the described rivers, lakes, and streams in a lifetime.

Welcome Jasen, to ifish and to the great Pacific NW. When you get here and get settled send me a PM and we see about doing some fishing.

Welcome, Beaverton is right in the middle of all the best fishing, if you like driving for an hour or three. I'm originally from Erie and fished the La Torte, York, Breeches, and a few others. It’s different here, from Beaverton, you’ll wanna scope out the Wilson, Trask, Lower Nehalem, Clackamas, and Sandy. There’s more but the Wilson is a favorite, along with a small creek out near Forest Grove. Good luck, and if you get into steel heading, you can start fishing now. I've fallen in love with coastal cut throats and you might catch them as well as steelies.
