Fished Frenchman's from daylight till 2pm. Not many boats....maybe 10 in 2 miles I could see. No action for me or the ones I could see. Still a lot of fish going under the boat.....But no biters......

I guess that depends if you "jig" buzzbombs or not. lots of fish that don't bite at the mouth of the Sandy. Got a big king on a quickie Thursday. The "JIGGERS" Released several. I seem to recall Fishin missions remark as he trolled by us at mach 5 "if thats not snagging I don't know what is"

Was up working at the PikeMinnow station at the Fishery today. ( About 2 5 miles below Bonn.) The people that are going out are doing a little bit better than the people down river but the action for those who are putting their time is getting steadily better. I think it might have something to do with the temperature drop. Have no idea what they were using but did see a couple of boats come in with one or two fish per boat.

Was going to take my brother in law out fishing tomorrow morning. Any reports on the Columbia? Was thinking about either Frenchmen's Bar or the mouth of the Sandy or Camas area.
What is the best bet out there? Speed troll wiggle warts for silvers? Anchor up with Alvin's for chinook? Anyone pick up any steelhead lately?

I know the counts have been off due to the nets. Are the nets still in? If not, when did they come out?

Fished the mouth of the Sandy from daylight to 2:45 pm. The wife hit a little 15# chinook buck about 8:00am and that was all the action our boat saw. Saw two other fish picked up by boats around us and one by a banker. The boat next to us broke one off. That is all we saw happening out there.

The fish checker at Chinook Landing had only checked three fish all afternoon.

Saw all the snaggers out at the mouth of the Sandy images/icons/mad.gif images/icons/mad.gif images/icons/mad.gif They were casting buzz bombs and yanking them across the shallows where the fish were rolling. Fortunately, I never saw one hooked. I told the fish checker at Chinook Landing and even gave him the boat numbers of four of the boats out there attempting to snag fish. He said they knew it was a problem up there but they did not have the resources to patrol it on a regular basis.
