The Alsea is kicking out fish. The trollers are getting them around drift creek. High Incoming tide is when the bite has really been turning on.

Hey willierower,
Are you seeing herring-trollers picking up fish, too? How's the bobber-fishing around Kozy Kove? Any word from Yaquina?

A coworker just got back from 3 weeks on the Alsea: 17 fish in the freezer. Nearly all were caught on herring, the rest on spinners.
Heard of a 62-pounder caught on the Yaquina last week. My brother-in-law was there yesterday, and not much was going on.

Fished the Siletz Friday... slow action, however did see several caught on eggs & shrimp. One was huge... did not get specs, but was larget fish I've seen this year. He was trolling a spinner.
We were about 4 miles up from 101 bridge. Fishers using Quickfish with herring wrap struck out.

Yaqina report, Second hand.
3 rods, 6 hours of trolling herring, 1 silver hooked and lost at the boat. This was saturday below Toledeo by the oyster farm
Last wed.
3 rods, 8 hours of trolling herring, 1 nook in the box. This was up closer to Toledeo.
Thats all I have on the Yaquina. I havent been out for nooks yet this year, Spending too much time up north playing with silvers. Next week I will be hitting it hard for 4 days. I cant wait!

images/icons/frown.gif Yesterday my dad and I fished at Kozy in the afternoon and what we saw was alot of fish in the air and 1 in the fishbox for a guy trolling a spinner. The rolling/porpoising/flopping/lazily finning fish were in good shape but completely unco-oeperative. I did here that I should have been there the day before, though..........(stupid ****** job for ****s)

,
Decided to fish Yaquina this afternoon. Wasted 18 herring and hooked a fish each on my last two around 1:30 near the oyster farm, which I've never fished(thanks to willerower). Lost the first one at the boat and landed nice 20lb buck 15 minutes apart. Another boat said that the bite was in the afternoon yesterday, just after the tide turned. We were out of herring, so called it a day. Lots of coho around, but didn't see any hooked..

Roman, not sure what you posted, there is a word-filter to catch the bad words on IFish.
Looks like you found it.

Good job HT, Im glad my report helped you. I get most of my local reports from friends and co-workers. Most of them are accurate.
chinook_hunter.
If can pump your own, and hit the tide right you can get them in the Siltez bay. On Hwy. 101 just south of of the bridge that crosses Schooner creek there is a pull out. Park there and bail over the bank to he sand flat and pump away.
Uncle Roman,
Did you ever buy that sled? Or are you using the giant drift boat? We are going to have to hook up soon. Im kinda boatless when Im home. My drift boat is living in WA for awhile.
