Moved back to Portland area recently, Where to fish?

Hi all,
I just returned to the area and want to fish for some Salmon or Steelhead. I am on the bank. I hope to have a boat next year. I would happily pay for Gas/beer on a boat if I had a chance images/icons/smile.gif

I was thinking of camping in the tillamook/hebo area tonight and fishing 3 rivers or something. Maybe hospital hole?
Any one havee nay advise on where and what to fish with ?

Any spots on the sandy or Clack would be appreeciated too.

just about anywhere on the Sandy or Clack in the next few weeks should be good. The question is not where is a good spot, but where is the BEST spot. To me qulity is more important that quantity and I will go where there are the least people, even if it means only hooking a couple of fish rather than dozens. Believe it or not, such places can be found, although it may mean a good walk, uphill both ways of course, but its worth it.

I don't think Three Rivers opens till november 1st? Check regs to be sure.
