Hello to you all, I am new to this fine group.
I am in Eugene, and am looking for ideas on either of these rivers.
In the lower bays, or above the 101 bridges?
Whole or plug cut herring?
One of the ODFW guys in Winchester suggested drifting eggs from a bobber about 5 feet off the bottom when the fish start to turn.
Any and all ideas are much appreciated. images/icons/smile.gif

Eggs under the bobber with a sand shrimp are good on the siuslaw. I would fish them from a little above mapleton down to cushman. I also got a report from mapleton that they were catching fish on blued herring at cushman. I think they were using whole herring. Hope this helps

Nooks at Dean Creek and lot's of Coho around Gardener. Cast spinners at schools of Coho or troll a silver blue fox. Plugcut for Nook's. Siuslaw, the fish have been above midway for the most part. Way to much boat traffic, some fish still entering lower tide

Thanks Drifty-
Does anyone know about the Umpqua- has the rain done any good?
Would fishing be better from the Big Bend down or around Dean Creek?
