Eagle Creek 9/26

Fished from 6:30-9:00 at the bridge near the mouth. Fish were steadily trickling over the lip into the pool until 8:30 or so in decent numbers but only saw 2 fish taken, not sure they were legal. Total lockjaw. What is the deal? I have never fished over so many fish with no response as this week. Sure hope it changes soon.

I don't know how far you drove to get to Bonnie lure park but if you were just gonna fish at the bridge it was a wasted drive. You were just a short walk to some of the best fishing in the portland area for silvers. I'm assuming you mean 6:30 - 9:00 am. If so you were there during the best bite all season. You were just in the wrong place. That bridge is a snagger hang out. If you can see those silvers, they can see you for sure. Go downstream and find some broken water to fish. Fish the Clack below the creek or above for that matter. Plenty of river to fish accessible from the parking at the bridge.
