Where do I get this stuff? I don't know what it is so I don't know where to get it.
Ed, it's found in the laundry department in most grocery stores.
Must be brining up that hering huh !!
Don't forget the rock salt!

FM2, Isn't it Mrs.Stewarts??? If Im not mistaken Mrs.Wright is in the spice section.
Please Correct me if im wrong though.

Yes, I am brining up some herring. I have about two dozen frozen left over from B10. I am heading to Waldport Saturday so I thought I would try brining them just to help them last.

Sigh...Mrs Wrights is in the bread department, Crown Colony is in the spice section. I have the inside track on this one images/icons/tongue.gif. Look for a small blue bottle near the starches for Mrs Stewarts.
BTW do you need the aisle number or shall I take you to it? hehe

How much of that stuff are you supposed to use?
What are the ratios? H20/rock salt/Bluing?
How long will they last?

Used Mrs. Wrights one time. Never again. I could not get a bite in the ocean after using it. Thought that was strange so I got out a fresh package. Booooooommmmmm!!!! Tripples, doubles. To test, I went back to the Ones with Mrs. Wrights. Nothing............except the seagulls liked them.
