To whom it may concern:
Let's just say if you were fishing in the B10/Ocean area, and caught a nice fish. And when you got the fish to the boat you noticed that there was another line coming out of its mouth. On that line there was a herring dodger and a diver and 200 yards of 65lb. power-pro on a ambassadore 6500 reel which is on a nice 7 1/2 ft. Berkley series one boat rod.
Please enjoy the rod as much as I did. I hooked a good 100+ fish on it. And it should be good for at least another 100-200 fish.
With all of this terrerist crap going on, the lose of a couple hundred bucks of gear seems kind of trivial. I guess next time I'll wipe off some of the fish slime from my hands before I pick up my rod.
For the record, it received an official burrial at sea, and will be remembered for a long time.
And I also want to thank C&E for another awesome day on the water last Saturday.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't we limited out all but one time.

Your in great company when you talk about loosing a rod and reel over the side of the boat. Welcome to the club my man!

I'm hoping they hooked your rod on my net that went flying off my boat when I hit the throttle without thinking.

That net hopefuly will catch my perfectly sized tackle box that went for a swim the other day.

Ya know, whoever gets this whole mess will have a nice preset rig to fish with with no shopping involved.

Don't that figger. images/icons/wink.gif

And when that fish makes it this way hopefully I`ll catch him with all that tackle and maybe that net will have scooped up my brand new pair of ray bans that fell off my face too! images/icons/frown.gif

I have three nets, one pair of vaurnets and a wedding ring on my list. The wedding ring was my excuse to gain 20lbs and haven't had another one slip off yet!

Things lost on the columbia
1 anchor and 200 feet of line
2 bumpers
1 front bow hatch that I left open and hit the gas. It didnt like that and went for a short flight and then a swim.
Many hats (figure I would learn the lesson the first time)
Broken 1 fenwick salmon rod ( my dads...not good)
Lost alot of tackle
and last but not least. Broken tips on 2 trout rods. Both in the same week.
This fishing stuff gets spendy!

I too am a member of the "big river eats another rod". Tiger stick, Diawa level wing, 400 lbs of tuff line does a header of the stern.............ouch.........
