View Full Version : How about the Bonneville?
Just got a boat last week and am going to do some salmon fishing this weekend. Is there any action up at Bonneville **** ?
Thanx
Mark
Hey, welcome to Ifish!
There is some action at Bonneville, but mostly it's boats full of fishers looking for fish. Seems like the better action is happening off the mouths of the rivers lower down; the Sandy, the Lewis, the Kalama and the Cowlitz. What remains to be seen for now is the effect of the commercial nets in the river over the last couple days.

MP,
all the reports that I get say it is still early.........any time ......... last year we were on em good by the 20th
Maybe I'll give the Kalama/Cowlitz a try. One more question... Is there an optimum trolling speed? I need to get a kicker for my boat but that will have to wait till early next year. images/icons/frown.gif

Mark i would go to the mouth of the sandy it seems to be good and getting better and you can anchor there where it dumps into the columbia.the fish really keg up there and you can usally find a spot to park your boat but your rig can get tricky if you put in at chinook bend
