F-bar is a good choice if the nets are not in the water. I will be there friday.

My wife used to complain about all of the time I spent away hunting and fishing. She changed her mind once I pointed out the fact that I could be spending that time at the local watering hole. images/icons/grin.gif

Good Point Lipripper!!!!!!!!

It must have worked for you! I think that it is those rare occasions where I do both (fish and frequent the local watering hole afterwards)that bother her. So what do you think, is F-bar going to be impacted this weekend by the nets that went in this week? Anybody?????

How long to people usually keep fishing F/Bar? I have put in four trips in the last week and a half and I have only seen two fish caught. These have been all weekday trips and each time there are fewer boats.

Spoons...Last Saturday was one of the best day's I'd seen out there this year so far. I'll be there tomorrow..may report when I get home if I'm not too tired. It seem like one day it's good, the next not so good. And of course...the fewer the boats, the less action you're gonna see. I ain't giving up out there yet. Mark

Fished Frenchman's today for about 6 hours with my daughter and only saw 1 fish taken for about a dozen boats. It has been SLOW all year except for maybe last Saturday and a small portion of other days. In my opinion, I would look at other options. WE tried everything, even trolled for the last hour. Oh well, thats fishing. If you do decide to go, bring some smelt. At least a few sturgeon breaks up the lull periods....

Fished Frenchman's yesterday. We didn't get out until about 4pm and fished the low slack and incoming tide until sunset.

Trolled with coyote spoons, rainbow spinner and Alvin without a hit.

The encouraging news was we did mark decent numbers of fish - a lot of the suspended ones I took to be silvers.

We'll be back out this weekend -- last year our best action was on Sept. 24.
