I'm happy to report that the authorities in Tillamook County decided to drop charges against yours truly. My friend (Attorney), made a phone call and put it right. I can of course throw more money at it and get damages but I'll settle for done and minimize the brain damage.

Be careful or you will be targeted at the ramp for the same 4 star hassle. This fall I will resume my age old habit of mooring for the weekend and launching/recovering the boat late at night. No worries about doughballs on the ramp or the Roadside Olympics then.

Yes, as the officers were conversing with you on the dock, just a simple, friendly, civil comment like "you're not planning on driving that truck, are you?" could have saved you and the taxpayers so much time and expense compared the the scenario that took place. Sometimes I wonder about these times we live in images/icons/frown.gif

i hope people realize that boating and drinking dont mix, it`s good you got the charges dropped but there would have been no charges if alchohol was left dockside..it`s a fact so no bashing here, thank you.
