Has anyone been fishing the Deschutes in the Macks Canyon area. I will be there the entire last week of the month.

Last Saturday 9/15 I fished with my son and guide Mike Cowdrey, fron Pine Tree to Macks. Very lite trafic and no fish caught that we heard of. The nets are in and seems there are 250,00 fished stuck between dams.

Do you know when the nets are coming out? I was there on the 7th & 8th & was skunked for the first time in about 6-7 years fishing that area. Didnt see more than just a few caught. There has got to be a ton of steelies in that area by now. From what I a hearing the weather is due to beging changing, maybe that will get them biting. These are the most aggressive steelhead I've ever fished for & for the #'s that has been passing the dams it has been somewhat dissapointing in that stretch of river.
