Howdy All,
I just got back from Alsea Bay today and fished a little but mostly Crabbed. It was a nice weekend for that. I didn't get a lot of Crabs but I got a few. There were people that got limits. We usually pull up a lot of Small ones or Females though. I think that trap Placement was important. We Started to Crab close to the mouth early Saturday Morning and nobody was getting any thing in that area. Next thing I knew people were all around us getting nothing also. It got Crowded reel quick. It was time to move around. It was pretty Foggy first thing in the morning and didn't want to go out that far not knowing the bay though. Got to learn it pretty well at low tide though. Haven't crabbed in a few years, and it was blast. Heard fishing was quite slow.
