Hey bud, I only did the 'macaroni' ... salad, BBQ'd salmon and oysters, and one helaciously good chocolate cake with cherries. Great BBQ and party by hosts Jennie and Bill! Roy (BOE), who can make about anything, brought a home made large BBQ about 2' by 4', with a separate coal bin under an adjustable grill with only small holes in it, instead of grates that allow stuff to fall thru. Neat rigup Roy. My son loved Q'ing salmon and oysters and steaks, etc., on it! ...

Too many highlights (might think of some more tomorrow). What sticks out in my mind is what a great bunch of nice and fun people who come to these ifish events. And also what an awesome pianist Jen is!!!!!!!!!!!!! She put on a mini concert for some of us lucky enough to be inside when she played. I've heard her before, but not this many numbers. She is truely great! Then we had a little jam session on guitars and piano, with Stew playing harmonica; until he lost his breath anyway images/icons/wink.gif . And Michael Teague (of The Guide's Forecast and McMinnville Register newspaper) can not only play guitar well, but he is a good singer too. Fun. Makes me want to scrape the rust off and pratice on my music again - when there isn't so many fish to catch anyway. ...

Maybe more later - I'm tired early tonight; it's 1 am images/icons/smile.gif . Goodnight.

Wow!!! great gathering, really neat to meet all these people that make up Ifish. Bill and Jen- THANK YOU!!! What a gorgeous setting in the great pacific northwest. Thanks to all who shared the good stuff like
crab, oysters, BBQ, fishing knowledge and
especially their open boat seats. What a treat to fish from a 21' willie predator with
seats more comfortable than a mercedes and
to witness Vinny, Phunybonz and Mrs Neutron battle with sea lice infested fall nooks on a
sunny day at the bay. Just isn't a better way to spend the day. Mike, I just can't say enough about the gesture of sharing your boat, fishing wisdom, even your home to Ifish folks. Have a great fall season! Giz let's go fishing, wish I hadn't spent all my vacation...weekends.

THANK YOU JENNIE AND BILL!!!!
Although we got to the Bar-B-Que a bit late for all the fun stuff, My wife Sally and I enjoyed the good food and meeting ifish people. We finally got to match faces with names.
I don't know if anybody tried it or not ,but I would like to know of any opinions of the Salsa I made (Good or Bad). Matt sure was a great Grillmaster!!! The Salmon and those oysters with his secret sauce were awesome. images/icons/smile.gif I hope there are more of these to come and look forward in meeting and maybe even getting to fish with some of the Pro's images/icons/cool.gif images/icons/cool.gif Thanks for the invite and all the work that went into this event. Tight Lines!! Tom images/icons/cool.gif

My 4 year old son Ben summed it all up this morning while telling his mom about the great time he had. "It was probably more fun than Disneyland."

Thanks Jennie & Bill

Definetly a great time. It was fun putting a face to the name of several ifishers and hearing the fish stories. Lots of great food...RT's son Matt has the killer sauce for salmon and oysters. Quite the accomplished chef and he can come over and cook at my house anytime. Thanks Jen & Bill for hosting the party at your place.

Great pics Steve (fishbait). I'm glad you didn't post that one taken in the 'dark room', if ya know what I mean images/icons/wink.gif . And do you notice how I 'disappeared' behind Stew in the pic when we gave Mark (FishinMission) the boat ride in the honey bucket images/icons/grin.gif (a little of my lower pant leg is showing). Fun, aye Mark? Chris (Salmon Shark) took the ride last year. I never saw him go near the porta outhouse this year images/icons/smile.gif . ...

Mark (Anderson - stlhdr), your jigs were a definite hit with people! Thanks bro. And OSU could use Mark's wife Cindy as a reciever! She played pass routes with my son and I while we took turns throwing the football. I couldn't guard Cindy on the long routes - must of been the margaritas images/icons/grin.gif ... in me, not her! Or maybe I'm gettin fat and slow .... naaaaaah, I'm still lightening quick images/icons/shocked.gif so had to be the former. ...

It was really neat having so many fun kids there too. My son so enjoyed meeting ifishers and cooking on Roy's custom built BBQ grill that he is going to register and become an ifisher. Ooops, there goes some of my 'stuff' I post images/icons/smile.gif. ...

Thanks again Bill and Jen for your hard work and nice hospitality. Just a great event! If you are going annually with this as you've mentioned, look for this to grow into a lengendary event.

RT is it true that you are now going to rent out Matt to people for the upcoming hoidays? Matt make sure your old man gives you a cut and doesn't spend it on fish eggs images/icons/grin.gif

Could be an idea Stew. Actually he has been cooking for dinner parties for neighborhood people's functions. He has been into the cable cooking show's for a few years now, and try's more fancy recipes than I do bait scent combos. His favorite famous cook is Emeril Lagasse - he got to go back into Emeril's kitchen in his new Las Vegas restaurant the year before last. That would be like me getting to go backstage before the showgirls take the stage images/icons/smile.gif . (btw, he's not a wus images/icons/grin.gif , he also likes to play basketball and golf). He just needs to learn to clean up the dishes after cooking! And get out fishing more than just golfing and shooting baskets with me!

What an awesome time!!Thanks Jen and Bill for setting up so much fun!! The weather was perfect and the food was even better!! images/icons/grin.gif Thanks for the oysters Funnybonz my wife and I love those things!! Thanks RT for donating that rod! I am really excited to try it out for the first time. I am hoping the rumor that the only time you give something away is when it's broken isn't true images/icons/wink.gif !! See everyone next time. We won't miss it!! images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif

Stew's facial hair and Phunnybonz's great oysters were a definite hit! Probably had to be some happier couples this weekend, if the myth is true? images/icons/wink.gif ...

As for that rod Kitchin', it will take a lot for that to be broken. It's a classic ol' Fenwick Fenglass plugging rod. Excellant tip action for plugs and forgives hard steelie hits - yet enough butt section power to land 'nooks. 10 to 20 lb. line rated, but lighter action tip than 10 to 20 lb. graphites. I have 3 more of these and still use them occassionally for plugging and bobber fishing. BTW, I think it has a lifetime warranty; from the factory, not me. images/icons/wink.gif
