My favorite Ifish member just sent this....ONLY the second US ship to ever get to "X" 00.00 90.00 The EXACT top of the world!!!!!!!! Crossing bars is EASY!!! But my FAVORITE COASTIE... (Little one under the "T"!!!) Is AMAZING!!! She asked me to share with you all!!!! Yes, she is bragging more than her 20lb Steelie!!!! I wanted her to make an IFISH banner, but they decided to fly the colors, instead! And, she wanted me to tell Steve to "Top THIS!!! :-)"

Not sure what ship this is (Polar Sea/Star) but my brother had to make that cruse also.. He did it back in 1989 and it took around 11 months to from Seattle over the top and then through Panama back to Seattle. I think he was on the Polar Star but not to sure.. He said that this is something that he will never forget.

Actually, this is the Cutter Healy, the Coast Guards' new Icebreaker. They are there with a science team doing Arctic research. And as of yesterday they became only the second US surface ship in history to make it to the very top, N 00-00, E 090-00. My love Elsa is aboard, and she spends her free time tying "ice flies" ! :-) I got another this morning of her fly fishing in the broken ice behind the ship that I'll post...Can't be as good as Buoy 10, though!! images/icons/wink.gif Some days this blue suit SUCKS.... To get this from her made it alot easier to put on this morning!!! images/icons/grin.gif
