I will be in Dexter this weekend and am wondering what I should be fishing for and where. My parents live on the river near Dexter and it would be nice to spend a few hours casting the a spinner or two. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Howdy Jo,
There is really only one choice left now, summer steelies. The riffle right below the dam can be productive with spinners, eggs (springers are spawning now, so they are looking for eggs) or shrimp. Bank access is limited due to private property. Other spots to try are the S. bank right below Pengra Boat ramp (I THINK you could wade out safely and fish just above the mouth of Lost Creek, but I haven't seen it lately), or the stretch just above the Jasper Bridge.
