I'm headed up there this evening to join the war, I'll let you know what I find. I was hoping baitboy would return before I left.

Heres the scoop,

I fished from sun up till around 2:30 I caught one fish from the bank. The boaters were getting fish routinely several people left with limits. The trick was just back trolling a bit of eggs on about 5ft leader 1 ft leadline. the cliff was getting fish all day some were snagged but some were legal and looked like noone was keeping foul hookers.

Tons of fish rolling everywhere not many willing biters from the bank.

Oh my one fish was a 30lb nookie buck that I let go.

Bait Boy, maybe that nook was dark (springer), but it is open to retaining chinook this year.

It was a zoo last night. I fished from 6:00pm until dark and I made mabey 20 productive casts. The people on the south side, and the north side of the river were getting snagged on each other constantly making it impossible to cast. When they weren't snagged up the guys next to me were pulling in a fish by the tail(bout 20 over the course of 4 hours). All in all a frusterating night. Tonight were going to try to fish the lower river from the bank where there is less people. Probally going to try wading out at golf course or island ramp. If anyone has any input on lower river less crowded holes i'd appreciate it images/icons/wink.gif

Luthian try fishing from the launch area or climb down the cliff. I fished from the Cedar creek side yesterday. I might have got more fish if I would have been going across the river in the AM. Just use a bigger slinky I used around a 4ft leader 12Lb with a very small cheater and eggs w/ a size 2 hook.

I dont know if the guys fishing the cliff were snagging but they got some hooked in the mouth and some folks were throwing eggs so I don't know what the trick was other than cast towards the water fall and upstream a bit.

The snaggers rock and the folks fishing the upper hole were getting hooked together all the time. Looked like the lower hole had so many fish cruising that you couldn't help snagging them. There were 4 guys fishing by me on the meathole side not 4 dozen like the hatchery side.

Hope that helps.
