These were a big hit over Easter, even though I had to use Craisins instead of cranberries. I've got cranberries now, so this should be even better.
1 1/2 cups cranberries
2/3 cup water
1/2 cup sugar (reduce if using sweetened dried cranberries)
1/3 cup hazelnut or amaretto liqueur
6 ripe medium pears
In slow cooker combine cranberries, water, sugar and liqueur. Add pears, stirring to coat, cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or high 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
