honda question

I have a 06 8 hp Honda And I'm trying to figure out if anyone else has had this problem. when you are trolling(in my 20 ft Willie) and you get to about 2.2 mph it putts of a high pitched whine. once you get to 2.9 it goes away. A friend said it was probably from cavitation that is caused by the 4 blade prop. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Also, is there somewhere that would let me try out a different prop without being committed to buying it? I don't have a problem buying a new one if it solves the problem

I wold try that but it came with the 4 blade prop

I have a 01 8 hp high thrust with 4 bladed prop. There is no whine when using for trolling at those speeds.

Hook up some rabbit ears and run the engine in the driveway. If you still get the whine it probably isn't the prop. It could be harmonic resonance causing the noise with some other part of the engine.
