control question

How hard is it to make the control cables shorter. The new to me motor I got has all the controls but they are way too long for my boat. I really dont want to have to snake them around everything in the boat to make them fit, Is there a way of making them shorter or do I have to get different ones? Thank you in advance.

Just went out and measured, I need about 10-11 ft of cables and the ones I have are between 15 and 16 ft long.

hello, just replace the cables with shorter type. some controls use special ends. most will use the standard 33-c type cable.
