I have been guiding now for close to 20 years and this has been one of the worst fall chinook seasons we have ever seen. I am taking a weekend off and finally found time to post some pics.

We have had to work really hard to find the fish, often we find them for one or two days in big bunches only to have to start looking all over again for them a day or two later. I have moved up and down the coast to 6 different rivers already this year following the action to where the fish are. Working with a team of guides has really paid off this year helping all of us find the fish again when fishing has gotten tough.

Here are some of the highlights of this fall

Some early fall actions anyone guess what kind of rods Grant, Ian and I use?

This group came out for a few days with Ian and myself and found some early season hot actions.

My Wille sled has really helped me fish lots of different areas this year with good results.

Some years my boat has averaged over ten fish per day for the season this year we have only had a handful of days like that.

Putting in our time and fishing lots of different rivers has paid off this year. But most working with a team ( Ian, My dad, Grant and lots of other guide friends) has been the best way to find the big numbers, getting reports from different areas everyday has been the best way to stay on the fish. I will post some more pics later I uploads lots more to my gallery, but this post is getting long.

This fish did a quick u-turn and swam right out of the net. Maybe it was just wanting its pic taken!
