How many of you have the drain hole flush with the bottom of the bilge? Mine has a fairly prominent lip so that the water does not drain out smoothly. In fact you have to have it on a steep incline to get it all out. Do all alum. boats have this (last boat was glass and didn't)? Did NR redesign this in newer boats? Enquiring minds want to know. :)

My last alum. boat had the drain hole at the lowest point and drained fine. My current boat did not have one and I put one in. I placed it about .5" from the bottom and now it does not drain very well. My Dad's idea was to use a large Dia. rope and let it wick out. Works great.
