Campgrounds near portland?

My friends and I want to go camping somewhere we could also do some lake fishing, for a end of the summer thing before school starts. Anyone have any good ideas. A place like Hagg lake would be great, but there is no overnight camping.

In Washington,
Woodland area, mouth of the Lewis and just north several miles is another campground.
Beach access and launch.
Go east of Woodland to Merwin, Yale and Swift lakes. Trout, Kokanee -3 or 4 campgrounds.

Kaus is giving good advice. I did some fishing on the N Lewis in July then drove home (east) past Merwin, Yale, and Swift.
