My boss asked what I was working on. I told him I was working on the quarterly report. So here it is! images/icons/wink.gif
I have been seriously short of fishing time this summer. For the past two summers, I averaged 2 trips a week. This year I'm lucky to get one trip a month. images/icons/frown.gif
I took my brother in law to the South Santiam in July, but the fish had lock jaw. I went to Diamond Lake at the beginning of August, but it was for a family reunion, not to fish. I was kept busy watching everyone's kids. I did stop off for some trout fishing on the way there in the North Umpqua, and my kids and I hooked some pretty little trout. But we only fished for half an hour. Diamond Lake is bad! There is a very bad algae bloom, and they closed it off to swimming the day we got there. They are still catching the Williamson river rainbows they put in there, but I didn't get a chance to fish for them.
Finally, I was running errands, and had about a half hour to kill, so I stopped off at Cascade Gateway Park here in Salem, and caught my biggest fish of the year: a fifteen pound carp! images/icons/grin.gif
So my summer has been totally wasted on work. Someone else won the Powerball jackpot, so it's going to continue that way until fall.
I think I saw a good carp recipe once, involving a fifth of whiskey. I'm going to have to find that one.
Geez. I haven't even had any time to brew more beer. I'm totally out of homebrew! I've got to win the next Powerball!
