Saturday was an exceptional day on Strawberry Reservoir in Utah. This is like the Buoy 10 up in the northwest. You are only allow to keep one fish 18" or bigger per limit. We had 5 fish (5 people on our boat) over 20" and were turning loose fish in the 5 lb. range. Most all the fish we caught were bows and a few cutts. I still plane to come up and get some salmon this season. Sorry about the side shot, my son took this picture with a digital camera and I don’t know how to rotate it back.

PS. Eat your heart out Snapshot!!!

couldnt resist a post, Berry is my most favorite trout lake. I was down there this summer and didnt get to fish up there, but we did get one day on Panguich and used some northwest trolling gear that the Utah fish must have never seen before because we did pretty good compared to everyone else.

Cool pics wish I could see some of those big ones you put back. I compare some Strawberry light gear fly caught rainbow with any big gear salmon caught up here.

Things up here this year so far have been fantastic. Rags seems to be busy breaking in his new boat and should be the right one to set you up.

Hey, bring a few of those fish over and we will cut-plug em for bait! Maybe we can get you into some big Chinookies. The sled is ready to go but I need anchor boy for the Columbia. I don't think Snapshot can handle that heavy anchor. Nice fish!

Well, I can guarantee one thing...Strawberry reservoir will be fished out within 5 years. No lake can handle a stringer like that. I'm not knocking the guy for killing within his limit(14 fish!), but when the fish are gone this pic won't be so cool anymore.

Nice catch! I was up that way last summer, but didn't have my gear with me. It sure is pretty up there. I saw quite a few big splashes in the water during the morning.

How are the kokanee biting?

I think he said there were five people in the boat. 14 fish/5 people= 2.8 fish per person. Lighten up Beek!

The limit is 4 per person. We don't normally keep any fish but we had some new fisherman on board with us that wanted to keep some fish. Also some of us like to eat fish and we have no salmon down here except kokanee and they will start showing up in September. Can't please everyone can we???Thanks Rags!! Anyone that would like to take up trip to Strawberry, let me know when you will be in town, and I will try to put something together.

Nice stringer of bows. Sure missed them when I was there last week. We couldn't keep the cuts off long enough to catch the big ones. Rags, you have an electric anchor system and I am almost sure I could handle pulling it. I will try to come out in October for some of the Berry salmon.

For those of you that fish some lakes, Strawberry is a great example of what to look forward to if the decide to treat and kill off Diamond lake. Strawberry Res. was the largest treated lake system ever undertaken and has proven to be very successful. It was killed off in 1990 and kept closed for two years. It has cuts, bows and kokes in it. Great lake and the only one I would consider vacationing to for fishing.... Please encourage Oregon to treat Diamond. Catch and release is great way to preserve the future but eating a fwe has not hurt the Berry in 10 years.

We just uped the coho limit here to 4 per day hatchery produced meat fishing.

Strawberry also has a hatchery on it and they plant alot of small fish for the purpose of catching and eating. Most of the cuts and large bows are released and if you noticed what nopil said they released the big ones and I didnt see any cuts in the pic just small bows. If you have ever fished there you would no that the fish in the pics were small for that fishery.

Good job man nice catch love that place I have fished it for twenty years. If there is a problem its with the fish and game who set the rules and not with nopil...
