I just wanted to pass along reports that both rivers got some late fresh summer steelhead into the lower ends with last week's rains. Also some early cohos, which can't be kept until Sept. 1st. Both these rivers and the SW Washington rivers are going to get stuffed full of silvers! 80,000 to 100,000 each for the Cow, Kalama, NF L, Sandy, and Clack. I've heard that WDFW will at some point up the daily limit of cohos to 6 per day; and the ODFW may up it to 4 per day. The unfortuante thing is going to be an awefully ugly daily snagfest on all these rivers. I hope the gammies don't turn their backs on this because of excess hatchery fish.
