Anyone have any news from down south. I'd like to make a trip down to W. Bay this week, and there was a great write up in the paper about all of the STEP work for chinook on the Umpqua. Is it too early?

Definitely not too early. There are fish all the way through the main river already following last weeks rain. I would concentrate on the ocean and near the jaws. If it's too rough out there, I like the Big Bend area for rolling herring. Early September is traditionally the peak, so get out there and whoop 'em. I am now extremely jealous images/icons/wink.gif
