FISHFINDER

Just a warning to anyone who is thinking about going out of the Hood River marina to fish the White Salmon or any of the other area spots: The sand bar at the mouth of the Hood River ate a very large jet sled this weekend. The guy wasn't familiar with the area and angled straight over to the White Salmon river and went from 6' to 1 inch of water very quickly. He ended up having the Sheriff boat pull him off and a screwed up jet pump. The proper way out is to head straight north out into the Columbia until you hit the channel and then turn west.
Happy fishing,
