Hitting the big show on Sat and wanted to know if any other ifishers will be out there? Going w/ Ayefsh and his son. Has a 19' N. River w/ green trim. Ifish sticker and everything. Look for us and say hi.

Wanted to get a little idea about what has been working out there. We have downriggers, divers and lead. Lots of flashers, rotary killers, and other stuff. Most everyone has been telling us to troll 8 oz at 20 pulls w/ a flasher and herring. Sound okay? Usually I just fish w/ a diver and rotary killer at about 18 pulls. Are the flashers really a neccesity? What other setups do you use or could you reccommend? I know that there are plenty of fish out there and plenty of ways to catch them, but I would love to hear if any one particular method seems to be outfishing everyone else. Thanks a lot in advance. Feel free to post or e-mail me at bjm427@hotmail.com

Oh BTW, its a bit farther upriver, but I saw a 42 lb chinook come out of Chinook Landing yesterday evening. Otherwise it has been slow in that area.

Went out today and got 5 Chinooks & 2 Silvers. Using deep six divers, flashers and fresh cut plug herring. Herring needs to be 9' from diver with flasher in between. We had most of our hits at 14-16 pulls.

Good luck

Birdhunter,
We have done really well with a diver, 7 foot of leader, and fresh herring. Twelve to fourteen pulls works pretty good with a drag a little on the light side. I will be in a blue/teal Weldcraft Renegade with my wife and daughter. I guess we will launch at the first ramp that doesn't look like an hour wait. I never really fish with a flasher or dodger and with the amount of fish present, I don't think you have to. See ya in the mix.......

BH,
Writing you from Hammond. We(NorthriverS)and I were out today and saw a lot of fish landed, but most of the action was up on the 10 line and it was crowded. We started running a spinner/herring rig and a flasher herring. Best depth seemed to be about 15 pulls, but all the action was on the spinner. We later dropped the flasher and switched to a metalic herring helmet and that immediately got bit. We ended up with a total of 4 Coho.
Good luck tomorrow.
