I usually stay away from the Buoy 10 and surrounding areas on weekends due to the high volume of traffic and lack of parking at the boat ramps. I will have to take some patience medicine and brave the crowds in the morning in order for my wife and daughter to take part in the festivities and was wondering what kind of time frame are we talking about? I usually launch out of either Hammond or Ilwaco and was wondering what kind of lines are usually present on the weekends? I have heard stories of 40 minute put in times and up to 2 hour taking out waits. I hope the later is merely just a story due to the driving time involved just to get there. Thanks in advance and if you see a blueish Weldcraft Renegade in line around sixish, that will be me images/icons/grin.gif Good Luck...

Fished Thursday, the line to the Hammond ramp was obscene......Almost to the city limit at the other side of town.....We bailed and launched In WA....Granted it was the first day of the 3 fish limit, but it still was a Thurssday. The good part was we limited the boat (10 silvers and 2 nookers), the bad part was that I did not carry my weight on this trip. Did land a 25+ URB Chinook though.

So glad I dont have to fish weekends. I do feel for all of you that have to fight those crowds. It has been bad enough on the week days. Good luck and keep the patience. Firedog.

Be sure to bring extra patience medicine and pass it around. At least the high tide is in the afternoon. I'll be there Sunday, and Monday if Sunday doesn't scare me away.

It makes me miss the days when Mom & Dad had their boat moored down there, I could show up the night before, sleep on the deck and just wake up whenever the engines started ... images/icons/frown.gif
