THe Salmon River just North of Lincoln City is one of the earliest runs on the coast. Should be in full swing during your visit.

Willierower,
If you want to start fishing at the 101 bridge there is a private boat ramp almost underneath the bridge. They charge $7 or $8 to launch and have more parking than the other launches in the area. I think he also sells bait and a little bit a fishing gear.

Don't do anything at Coyote rock. They are thieves and murderers. Well maybe not murderers but they are thieves no kidding. The camp host is the rudiest person I have ever met. I still want to put a brick though her window over the $41 they ripped off me and there is nothing I can do about it without taking them to small claims court. I wander how many people they do this to and how often

I agree with Cap'n Dan. The owners at Coyote Rock have given that place a bad name. Used to stay there years ago and the owners then were nice people. A buddy of mine was falsely accused of vandalism and threatened with the "police" if he didn't cough up 400 bucks right then and there. He coughed up the money and is still waiting to go to court to get it back. STAY AWAY FROM COYOTE ROCK RV PARK!!!

Concur. Quit launching there years ago because of these people. It appears they are still at it. She ripped me off too big time Dan. Never wanted to slap an ole' lady, but she tops my list too. images/icons/blush.gif

As far as i know the Siletz moorage and marina is run by Dave Standard who is an old friend of mine and yes they are really nice people. You can also catch a lot of crabs right under and a little west of the bridge so its pretty neat. Rainbow spinners work well in that river. Cagey.

WR,The name of the place is Siletz Moorage And the people are really nice. The launch at low tide is a little tight and having to wait till 7 isn't too cool but I'd rather wait than go to Coyote Rock. It always looks like a nightmare. Yeah, it's $7 to launch and they do have some tackle and some sodas there at Siletz Moorage.........
