I finally found the myth! I could never get a straight answer from anyone as to why you shouldn't put a battery on concrete...well, they were all wrong...to a degree.

I guess we can throw out those battery acid soaked blocks of wood in the garage!
It looks like the cooler concrete temps (summer months)will actually reduce the rate of discharge if a battery sits on the concrete.
